One year ago (on August 14) we were married in the Las Vegas Temple! We can hardly believe that it has already been one year! Part of me feels like that was just a few weeks ago and the other part of me feels like we've always been married and I can't imagine not being married to this wonderful man!! Strange how time passes.
Family was up here the weekend of our anniversary so it was a little different but we still got sometime to just lay and be together and remember. Those are sweet, tender, exciting, funny memories that just had us smiling from ear to ear :)
The cake itself wasn't so delicious but its the tradition! Dad Ras and Nathan both agree that its probably the dumbest tradition out there...I wonder how it even started...We ate a bite each and then Nathan thought it best to just have fun with it and sent it flying into the forest in our backyard!
We heard from some couples that the 1st year of marriage was so hard. Nathan and I would look at each other and say "Man, if this is rough the rest of our lives are going to be awesome!" :) (*we know, everyone has their trials and hard times. We all do and all will...we're just grateful this one wasn't ours) It is so great to be married!! Cheers to the first wonderful year and the many more to come!!
